How can we consolidate knowledge?
How can we plan revision so students retain knowledge and can also use it?
We discussed spaced revision, active recall and connecting knowledge with application. Examples included question-and-answer cards for peer quizzing and a long-term school-leaving exam preparation plan. A shared conclusion was to plan consolidation from the outset and use formats beyond tests and oral examinations.
